Dave joined SensAble late in 2007. Prior to SensAble, Dave was founder and VP of Technology at M2S, a developer and provider of medical data and imaging systems. He has led the development of software for transforming medical data into formats for visualization, surgical simulation, and biometric qualification. Dave brings expertise in a broad range of 3D graphics, robotics, and medical applications. He has done research in the areas of interactive computer graphics and animation, virtual environment techniques, robotic control of jointed figures, and force-based finite element models of skeletal muscle in the study of biomechanics. A co-founder of Medical Media Systems in 1991, he has a track record of successfully bringing new solutions to existing markets. Dave has several publications dating from the early 1990's and has many patents to his credit. He holds a BSEE from the University of Illinois, a MSEE from Stanford University, and a Ph.D. in Media Technology from MIT. |
