David leads the technology and economic development practice for Capstrat. He brings considerable experience in strategic counsel, media relations and crisis communications to this group’s clients. In addition to his role as group director, David also oversees integrated marketing communications efforts for companies including SunCom Wireless, HemCon Medical Technologies, SciQuest and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also responsible for overseeing new business development for Capstrat's technology and economic development practice. With a track record of national and international media successes, David also handles the corporate media relations efforts for Capstrat and consistently takes his big ideas to big stages. he led the crusade for Capstrat’s viral campaign spotlighting our wall murals created solely from Post-it notes. Inspired by The Late Show with David Letterman, David pitched the Post-it mural idea to CBS landing two Capstrat employees on the show to create a Post-it portrait of Letterman’s stage manager Biff Henderson. David’s communications background spans the fields of information technology, health care, software development, wireless communications, health technology and life sciences. He worked as a senior media relations specialist with IBM, spent four years as an account supervisor with Brodeur Worldwide and served the Raleigh office of Gibbs & Soell, also as an account supervisor. At Brodeur, David’s strategic media relations advice benefited clients such as Internet Security Systems, Laboratory Corporation of America, NEC, Red Hat, SciQuest and TogetherSoft. While at Gibbs & Soell, he directed aggressive media and analyst relations for rapidly growing high-tech companies such as Mutek Solutions (now Identity Software) and TekSell.com. |
