David Challen 63, joined the Board on 9 September 2002. He is chairman of the Audit Committee and a member of the Remuneration Committee. He is currently vice chairman of Citigroup European Investment Bank and a non-executive director of Smiths Group plc. Previously he was chairman of J. Henry Schroder & Co. Limited, where he spent most of his professional career. He is currently the deputy chairman of the UK's Takeover Panel. |
