David Cathcart, Chief Financial Officer, joined TRX in September 2004 as Controller and was promoted in July 2005 to Vice President, Finance and Controller. Cathcart has responsibility for TRX’s finance, investor relations, and administration functions.
Prior to joining TRX, Cathcart served as a divisional controller at General Electric where he drove controllership initiatives in a $4 billion business spanning 108 locations in 54 countries. Before joining GE, Cathcart was assistant corporate controller at Mirant Corporation in Atlanta, Georgia, responsible for SEC and accounting policy and compliance. He began his career at Arthur Andersen, where he held progressive management positions, auditing and advising clients on mergers and acquisitions and public financings, primarily in the airline, credit card processing, and energy sectors.
Cathcart holds an MBA from the University of Central Florida and a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame. He is a Certified Public Accountant. |
