David Cao is an enterprise architect and a technical leader. Prior to joining PlayPhone, he was the lead engineer for LightSurf (a wholly owned subsidiary of VeriSign,) a leading U.S. wireless Multimedia Messaging Service provider. Cao also founded KnowledgeSurf, an education game developer and professional software service provider. Before KnowledgeSurf, he served as the vice president of e-commerce and software development for The Critical Thinking Company, a home education book and game publisher where he managed the IT/development operations.
Cao was also on staff at Oracle e-Travel, and consulted for companies such as IBM, Sun Microsystems, Rational and Reuters. Prior to consulting, he was a lecturer and assistant professor at Xidian University where he was involved in the research & development and instruction on computer system architecture. He has also contributed to or penned several publications in the database and Internet computing areas. Cao holds a Bachelor of Science in management engineering and a Master of Science in computer networking from Xidian University in China. |
