David Cameron is an original member of the AptSoft start-up team. He manages the marketing and product integration efforts, which include working directly with prospects and clients to better understand their applications and value of AptSoft’s enterprise software. In this role, Cameron draws on more than 15 years of experience in all aspects of business-to-consumer and business-to-business marketing, including strategic positioning, PR, advertising, integrated multi-channel program design and execution, search-engine management, events, infrastructure implementation, lead management and sales support.
Cameron joined AptSoft from Wheelhouse Corporation where, as part of the start-up team, he built the Database Integration and Quantitative Analytics practices that deployed multi-channel sales, marketing, and service systems. In addition, he served as Vice President of Sales and managed several strategic Wheelhouse client relationships, including VoiceStream, Staples, Microsoft, Intuit, and Mazda. Cameron was also one of several key executives guiding Wheelhouse’s software and infrastructure product development.
Prior to Wheelhouse, Cameron worked for Harte-Hanks Data Technologies, where as Vice President of Product Integration, he co-founded two business units that provided database marketing solutions to companies including FEDEX, UPS, US West, British Gas, Sun Microsystems, New York Life Insurance, Lexus, and Toyota. He was also the business product manager for Relationship Builder®, a Harte-Hanks solution incorporating outsourced services and software to create and maintain customer-centric data repositories. In this role, he grew the installed base of that solution by several million dollars in less than a year.
Cameron is a frequent writer and speaker on marketing topics and has also guest lectured at New York University’s Stern School of Business and Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business on customer-centric marketing issues. |
