Mr. Burya brings over 30 years of manufacturing and Rregulatory affairs experience in the production of complex medical devices to the position of Director of Manufacturing and Product Integration.

Prior to joining TechniScan Medical Systems in May of 2005, Mr. Burya was the Director of Manufacturing at GE-OEC Medical Systems where he led a team of over 100 manufacturing employees. In the five years after the GE acquisition of OEC, Mr. Burya was instrumental in delivering a 150% increase in production levels through the use of Lean Manufacturing Principals with no increase to staffing, facilities, or budgets. Additionally, as GE’s Manufacturing Integration Leader, Mr. Burya played a key role in the successful move of GE’s Navigation business from Boston to Salt Lake City.

Before his work at GE, Mr. Burya was the Director of Manufacturing at OEC Medical Systems. During this time, Mr. Burya was responsible for Manufacturing and Material Procurement for OEC’s portable and fixed room medical x-ray devices.

Mr. Burya also held various Manufacturing positions with Diasonics Inc. and Varian Medical Systems, and worked at Underwriters Laboratories testing medical and consumer devices for public safety.
