David Brearton is Executive Vice President, Global Business Services & Strategy, Kraft Foods Inc. In this role, he is responsible for Global Business Services, Global Information Services, and Global Strategy and Business Development.
Most recently, Brearton was EVP, Global Business Services at Kraft. His responsibilities included managing Kraft’s Global Business Services organization, overseeing Business Process Simplification and leading Project Catalyst, a program designed to support Kraft’s growth objectives by building more effective, faster and more efficient processes and information sources. Before his current post, Brearton was named Senior Vice President, Business Process Simplification and Corporate Controller, in December 2004.
Brearton joined Kraft Foods in Canada in 1984 as a Financial Analyst and has since progressed through a series of financial roles of increasing responsibility. In 1994, Brearton was named Director, European Financial Planning & Analysis, based in Switzerland. In 1996 he was named Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, Kraft Foods International (KFI) in Rye Brook, New York. Brearton was appointed Vice President Finance, Northern Europe, KFI based in Cheltenham, England in 1998. Then, in 1999, he became Vice President, Finance for the European Union Region of KFI, based in London, England, where he led that region's financial organizational for over three years. Brearton was named Senior Vice President, Finance, KFI, in 2002. He was named Senior Vice President, Finance, Kraft International Commercial in January 2004.
Brearton holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Queen's University in Canada and is a Certified Management Accountant. |
