David Arnold is President and CEO of Wavetronix, and Product Manager for the SmartSensor product line. Dr. Arnold co-founded Wavetronix after spending eight years as a professor of electrical engineering at Brigham Young University. While at BYU, he had an active research program in radar design, remote sensing and electro-magnetic wave theory investigation.
Dr. Arnold has developed innovative techniques for building low-cost, reliable, high performance radar systems. He was involved in the TOPEX/Poseidon and the JASON-1 space ocean altimetry programs; he developed several radar systems and investigated the application of rough surface scattering theories to the study of ocean surface; and he was involved in the development of electro-magnetic theory using differential forms. He also co-founded AJ Design Group, a software development company whose successful line of CAD tools is currently marketed by Agilent Technologies.
Dr. Arnold holds a doctorate degree in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the same field from Brigham Young University. |
