Mr. Anderson's practice encompasses a wide range of litigation matters, with particular emphasis on complex commercial litigation and defense of directors and officers and professional liability claims. He has defended clients in a variety of class actions and has experience handling disputes involving contract, insurance, bankruptcy, real estate, corporate governance, securities, health care, ERISA, business tort, and legal malpractice issues, as well as proceedings before the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation. Texas Monthly magazine named him a "Rising Star" in business litigation for 2005, 2006, and 2007. Some examples of Mr. Anderson's recent litigation work include: Representing the board of directors of an offshore oil and gas construction company in a shareholder suit to enjoin a merger. Defending a major national law firm in a legal malpractice action in bankruptcy court. Lead counsel for a major telecommunications company in a jury trial that resulted in a take nothing judgment for his client. Defending one of the nation's largest insurance brokers in state and federal court suits alleging professional liability related to claims reporting. Representing a multi-national computer manufacturer in a putative class action involving allegations of consumer fraud and breach of warranty. Representing real estate partnerships in a series of lawsuits involving allegations of fraud and breach of contract and land use issues. Representing one of the nation's largest retailers in a multi-million dollar breach of contract dispute. Mr. Anderson is involved in numerous professional and civic activities. He currently serves on the Boards of Directors for the Texas Young Lawyers Association and the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers. He was honored in 2003 with the DAYL Distinguished Service Award, and he was recognized as the TYLA Outstanding First Year Director for 2006-07.
