He received his B.S in Biomedical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, his D.M.D from Harvard School of Dental Medicine, and his M.D. from Harvard Medical School. He is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.
Dr. Altobelli was on the Harvard faculty and was part of the Craniofacial team at Boston’s Children’s Hospital and the plastic surgery group at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He also co-founded the Craniofacial Osseointegration Center at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Facial Engineering & Morphology Research Lab, and was part of a collaborative team with GE, Sun, and the Surgical Planning Lab at the Brigham.
Dr. Altobelli has also been a biomedical consultant for 20 years, including two medical startup ventures, and has been a technical contributor with the research group at DEKA Research and Development since 2001. He has numerous publications, is co-editor of several bioengineering and biomaterials texts, and holds several patents. |
