David Alfaro is a director in the FTI Forensic and Litigation Consulting practice and is based in San Francisco. Mr. Alfaro’s focus has been on litigation support in the areas of information acquisition, management and analysis. He has testified as both an expert and percipient witness regarding the recovery and analysis of contractual, financial and accounting information.
Mr. Alfaro’s commercial banking, financial management and trust business experience includes recovering, inventorying and analyzing current and historic records; converting and synthesizing disparate electronic data forms (e.g., paper, microform and electronic records); reconstructing trusts and bond issues; and providing fact-based testimony.
Mr. Alfaro’s litigation support experience includes implementing statistical sampling, performing interest rate sensitivity analyses for various legal remedies and providing fact-based trial compilations.
Mr. Alfaro’s healthcare experience includes recovering historical file server data from client archives, identifying relevant financial and accounting data files, converting transactional data to a UNIX-based SAS database, performing data normalization and standardization, conducting data mining techniques to support predictive modeling and implementing statistical sampling to verify data integrity.
Mr. Alfaro’s experience in custom software development includes Oracle 7.0, Oracle Developer/2000, Oracle Designer/2000, Oracle Discoverer/2000, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Visual Basic, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Fox Pro and Paradox for Windows.
