Dr. David W. Whiting is an ophthalmic surgeon, board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and has served as the Medical Director of LCA-Vision’s Minneapolis LasikPlus vision centers since 1999. A graduate of Washington University School of Medicine, he also received a graduate degree at Stanford University through the division of Ophthalmology Research, and has held clinical staff appointments at the University of Minnesota School of Medicine. He has performed over 60,000 refractive procedures since 1994, and for the past several years, has been named by the Minneapolis-St. Paul Magazine as one of the top doctors in the metropolitan area. Dr. Whiting has been affiliated with LCA-Vision since 1997, and has been a member of the LasikPlus Medical Advisory Board for a number of years. Prior to joining LCA-Vision/LasikPlus, he was in private practice since 1989, serving as managing partner of a multi-specialty eye clinic in Minneapolis. He also served two years as Medical Director of the Allina Medical Group Eye Services Division of the Allina Health System HMO. From 1998 until 2003, he owned and directed InVision Optical, a retail optical chain in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area. He also founded Consultive Eye Care, P.A. in 2000, and has served as Medical Director of Consultive Skin Care, P.A. since 2001. Dr. Whiting has served as a director of LCA-Vision since 2006. |
