David W. Anderson, has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of Gentis, Inc., since November 2004. David has almost twenty years of entrepreneurial management experience in the medical device, orthopedics and pharmaceutical fields. He has raised over $150 million in Venture capital, completed an IPO and several significant M&A transactions. David joined Gentis from Sterilox Technologies, Inc. the world’s leader in the development and marketing of non-toxic biocides where he was President and CEO from March 2000 through October 2004. Prior to joining Sterilox, David was the President and CEO of Bionx Implants, Inc., a publicly traded orthopedic sports medicine and trauma company.
While at Bionx from 1994-1999, David managed the company through two rounds of institutional investment ($9 million total) and the company’s Initial Public Offering. Prior to Bionx, David was the President and CEO of Kensey Nash Corporation, a public cardiology and biomaterials company from 1992-1994, a Vice President at LFC Financial Corp, a venture capital and leasing company and a Founder and Executive Vice President of Osteotech, Inc., a high technology orthopedic start-up from 1986 through 1989. David also held a variety of management positions at Schering Plough from 1978-1986. He holds a Bachelors Degree in chemical engineering from Cornell University.
