David Gilroy is currently co-founder and Managing Director of GrowthFinance, LLC (www.growthfinance.com). GrowthFinance provides contract, or fractional-use CFO services and support to growth companies executing major transactions. The firm specializes in cost-effective financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, implementing controls and other financial management tactics, and provides strategic help for companies raising growth capital or considering M&A opportunities. Most of the firm’s clients are fast-growing technology, healthcare, business services, or industrial companies that are at various stages of development, from start-up to tens of millions in annual revenue. GrowthFinance is based in Charlotte, North Carolina and serves companies throughout the region.Prior to starting GrowthFinance, David served as Managing Director of Hyde Park Capital, a leading independent investment bank with offices in Tampa, Florida and Charlotte, North Carolina. Prior to joining Hyde Park Capital, he served as a partner with the Wakefield Group, a leading southeast private equity firm. During this time, he invested in twenty-three private equity transactions including early stage venture, growth capital and buyouts.Also, David currently serves on the Board of Angiogen (anti-cancer therapeutics) and Wakefield portfolio company Meta Security.
