David, a Westerly, R.I. resident, is Executive Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer of Washington Trust and Washington Trust Bancorp, Inc.
In addition to his responsibilities as a member of the senior management team, he manages the functions of financial planning, accounting, financial reporting, and treasury management.
David is a 1976 graduate of the University of Massachusetts and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1978. He served with the firm of KPMG in Providence from 1976 to 1986 when he joined the Bank as Controller. He became Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in 1987, Senior Vice President in 1990 and added the title of Treasurer in 1997. He was promoted to Executive Vice President in June 1998. He was named Secretary in 2005.
David currently serves as a Director and Secretary of the Providence Chapter of Financial Executives International. He is the Chairperson of the Rhode Island State Alliance of YMCAs and is the past Chairman of the Westerly-Pawcatuck YMCA.
