Mr. Bowerman has more than 20 years experience in the valuation field. As President and Chief Operating Officer of CBIZ Valuation Group, where he recently directed the consolidation of two nationally recognized companies to establish a premier valuation firm, Mr. Bowerman leads a dedicated team of professionals in providing expert valuation, financial advisory and litigation support services. Formerly a Principal at KPMG LLP and Managing Director in KPMG Consulting's Valuation Services Practice, Mr. Bowerman was the leader of the Health Care & Life Science Valuation Services' National Practice. In that capacity, he directed the delivery of valuation/financial analysis and transaction related services to the healthcare and life science industries. In addition to advisory services, Mr. Bowerman's other responsibilities were directing business enterprise, capital stock and intangible asset valuations relied upon for mergers and acquisitions; regulatory filings, reorganizations and bankruptcies; federal and state tax filings; financial reporting; and valuation (strategic) consulting. Mr. Bowerman has also been employed as a portfolio manager in a major southeast-based trust investment group, an investment officer of a portfolio of closely-held businesses and served as expert witness on the cost of capital in utility regulatory hearings. Mr. Bowerman holds a B.S.B.A., Finance from East Carolina University and a M.B.A., Finance from the University of Georgia. |
