David Crockett is a national authority on enrollment management, student retention, and academic advising, offering nearly 40 years of experience in higher education. He has conducted numerous national studies on effective recruitment, retention, and advising practices. Mr. Crockett has published widely on student retention and academic advising and has consistently been in demand as a speaker and presenter.
Mr. Crockett has consulted directly with hundreds of colleges and universities, serving client institutions ranging from the University of Texas San Antonio (TX) to Morehead State University (KY) to the Eastern Iowa Community College District (IA) to Eastern New Mexico University (NM). Prior to joining Noel-Levitz, he served 18 years as vice president at the American College Testing Program (ACT), where he planned and directed national marketing, public relations, service, operational, and consulting activities related to ACT’s numerous programs and services. His campus-based experience includes holding enrollment management positions at Baldwin Wallace College (OH) and Kenyon College (OH).
Awards and education
A long-time member of the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA), Mr. Crockett received the association's 2003 Virginia N. Gordon Award for Excellence in the Field of Advising. Mr. Crockett holds an M.A. from the University of Maryland and has completed additional graduate study in higher education at the University of Iowa. |
