David S. "Dave" Shook is senior vice president and managing director, Americas, for UGS PLM Software (UGS), a division of Siemens Automation and Drives (A&D). UGS is a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services with 4.4 million licensed seats and 47,000 customers worldwide. Shook and his team are responsible for sales, sales support and services delivery in the Americas.
Before moving to his current position, Shook served as UGS’ vice president of Sales and Operations, for the Eastern half of the United States.
Shook began his career in 1980 with Unigraphics Solutions, where he held a series of increasingly responsible positions in sales and marketing management. During his tenure, his teams were responsible for significantly increasing the company’s presence in the automotive market.
As managing director of UGS’ Midwest region, he successfully led his team to deliver UGS’ highest regional revenue and earnings for nearly 10 years.
Shook is a graduate of Indiana University and Thunderbird University’s executive program, Leading the Global Enterprise.
