Experience:
David Krakoff focuses his practice on white-collar litigation and is a co-leader of Mayer Brown’s White-Collar Defense practice. He represents corporations and corporate executives in all aspects of criminal and related civil and administrative matters.
David’s experience includes federal and state trials, with primary trial responsibility in more than 50 cases. He also handles internal investigations, grand jury investigations, SEC enforcement proceedings, shareholder actions, appeals, debarment proceedings, and audit committee counseling. His client matters include accounting fraud, securities, tax, foreign corrupt practices, public corruption, antitrust, healthcare, export control, trade secrets, and environmental issues.
Before joining Mayer Brown in 2004, David worked for 10 years as an Assistant US Attorney in the US Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia. He is recognized as a leading White-Collar practitioner (Chambers USA 2006 and 2007). Additionally he is recognized by Washingtonian Magazine as one of the top White Collar attorneys in Washington for 2007 and by Litigation 2007 - A Supplement To The American Lawyer & Corporate Counsel as a Top Lawyer.
