Dave Corey was promoted to Chief Operating Officer after serving as Pliant Corporation's Executive Vice President of Operations. He is responsible for global manufacturing, procurement, transportation and logistics, manufacturing and materials engineering, quality, capacity planning, human resources, and information technology.
Mr. Corey joined Pliant from Emerson Electric, where he was President of a subsidiary, Dura-Line Corporation, beginning in 1999. Dura-Line manufactured fiber optic conduit, gas and water pipes in nine countries on four continents and was the largest company within the Jordan Telecommunication Products Group. This group of manufacturing companies was acquired by Emerson Electric in 2000.
Prior to Dura-Line, he was President of International Wire, a manufacturer of bulk automotive and appliance wire with operations in Asia, Mexico and the U.S. Prior to International Wire, Mr. Corey served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Outside Voice and Data Division of General Cable. He held positions of increasing responsibility in manufacturing, supply chain, marketing and general management during his 27 year career with General Cable.
Mr. Corey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Eastern Illinois University. |
