David P. Stitzel is a patent attorney in the firm’s Chemical/Biotechnology Practice Group. He is a former patent examiner with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He examined in various technologies including, but not limited to, antimicrobials, pesticides, herbicides, pheromones, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, veterinary, drug delivery, biotechnology, and cosmetics. He also has nearly two years experience drafting and prosecuting chemical, mechanical, and medical device patent applications. In addition to having over three years experience as a research molecular geneticist at Duke University Medical Center, Mr. Stitzel obtained extensive experience in organic and polymer chemistry while working at Wright Patterson Air Force Base as a research chemist for four years.
Mr. Stitzel received his Law degree from the University of Dayton School of Law and received a Master and Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Wright State University.
Mr. Stitzel is admitted to the North Carolina State Bar and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA). |
