David leads the Healthcare practice. He has more than 30 years of consulting experience and has served hundreds of healthcare clients helping them to downsize resize reorganize and recruit executive talent. He has also helped them implement cost accounting patient accounting quality improvement and case mix management systems design and implement incentive compensation systems and develop and implement strategy. David's entire career has focused on helping healthcare organizations improve their performance.
Professional Experience
David was Principal Chief Executive Officer and a founder of Wellspring Partners (now a Huron Consulting Group Practice). He serves a wide array of clients either as Engagement Principal with overall responsibility for the effectiveness of the firm's work or as Quality Assurance Principal with responsibility for assuring overall quality and client satisfaction.
Previously David served the healthcare consulting division of Ernst & Young in a variety of partner level roles for more than 21 years. He provided leadership in developing many of its cost management performance improvement and resizing services moving the practice beyond healthcare finance into healthcare operations and strategy. David then became the Chief Executive Officer and principal investor of Valuation Counselors a firm specializing in healthcare valuation services.
Before starting his professional career David served as combat officer with the 101st Airborne Division in the Republic of Viet Nam. He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal and the Bronze Star both for valor.
