Mr. Taggart joined the Company in July of 1980, as a foreign exchange specialist. In 1983, he was appointed manager of Treasury Operations. He was elected assistant treasurer of The Coca-Cola Company in April 1985. In 1990, he was named president of The Coca-Cola Trading Company, and in 1992 he was made additionally responsible for global purchasing for the Company. He was elected vice president and treasurer in December 1993.
Prior to joining The Coca-Cola Company, Mr. Taggart was manager of international finance with The Continental Group, Inc. and an international officer with the First National Bank of Boston.
Mr. Taggart is on the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District, Inc. From 1998 - 2004, he served as a trustee of Financial Executives Research Foundation. From 2002-2004, he was chairman of Financial Executives Research Foundation and a board member of Financial Executives International.
Mr. Taggart graduated cum laude from Princeton University in 1973 and from Harvard Business School in 1979.
