As vice president of information technology for FARA, David Richard is responsible for maintaining the company's competitive position by establishing a strategic technology plan. He also manages the technology professionals who provide service and limited training and orientation to FARA employees and clients and directs data transfer for clients with their previous TPA. Among his top achievements within the company, Richard designed and engineered a complex application software for insurance claims management needs and inventory management systems, including character-based systems, GUI based systems and web-based systems. His technical expertise lies in Alpha Basic, ISAM+, Visual Basic, Active X components, ASP, Javascript, Progress V9 4GL, Progress Webspeed, XML Standards, MS-SQL Server, MS-Access, MS-FoxPro, Dbase III, Advanced MS-Excel and PCL. Richard is past president of International Value-Added Resellers Association and a former emergency medical technician. He was appointed to the Progress Software CEO Forum, a technical and information technology advisory panel of corporate technology executives throughout North America. He is a member of the board of directors and holds a Bachelor of General Studies degree from Louisiana State University. |
