Dr. David L. Hime is a native of San Antonio, where he was born on February 22, 1959. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University with an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering. He then graduated from the UT Dental Branch at Houston in 1986 and the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 1988 with a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology and a certificate in Orthodontics. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Capital Area Dental Society, Southwestern Society of Orthodontists, Texas Association of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists, and the Texas Orthodontic Study Group. He has chaired both Young Dentist and Peer Review Committees of the Capital Area Dental Society, and is past president of the Texas Association of Orthodontists. He has served on the American Association of Orthodontists Council on Information Technology. He has been awarded both the C.T. Rowland award and the A.P. Westfall award from the Tweed Study Group for demonstrated excellence in clinical orthodontics. He is also a board certified diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics, and is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. His hobbies include tennis, traveling, and exercising. |
