David Powell was appointed Vice President - Motive Power in January 2005. In addition he serves as Chief Mechanical Officer of the Utah Railway a GWI subsidiary. David has 33 years of railroad experience most recently as Vice President with UniRail LLC a railroad management and investment advisory firm since 1998. Previously he held VP/Chief Mechanical Officer positions with Ferrocarrill del Pacifico SA (FEPASA) in Santiago Chile the Nuevo Central Argentino in Rosario Argentina as well as with the Delaware & Hudson and New York Susquehanna and Western railroads in the U.S. He began his career working for the Lehigh Valley Railroad and Conrail and as Vice President with the National Railway Equipment Company.
Mr. Powell served a 4-year railroad journeyman apprenticeship and has an associate degree in Automotive Technologies from WACC a Penn State campus. |
