Professor David J. Teece is an authority on matters of technological change and organizational structure, particularly as it relates to competition policy and intellectual property. He is the Mitsubishi Bank professor at the University of California, Berkeley, where he also directs the Institute of Management, Innovation and Organization. Dr. Teece has a PhD in economics from the University of Pennsylvania and has held teaching and research positions at Stanford University and Oxford University. He also has received three honorary doctorates. Dr. Teece has testified before Congress on regulatory policy and competition policy, is author of over 200 books and articles, and is the editor of "Industrial & Corporate Change" (Oxford University Press). According to Science Watch (November/December 2005) he is the lead author on the most cited article in economics and business worldwide, 1995-2005. He is also one of the top 10 cited scholars for the decade, and has been recognized by Accenture as one of the world's top 50 business intellectuals. Dr. Teece has also testified before judges, juries, arbitrators, and tribunals in the US and abroad, both on liability and complex valuation and damage issues. He has been chairman of LECG since 1988. He is also a director of the Atlas Family of Mutual Funds. |
