Mr. Sheahin specializes in healthcare performance improvement consulting. He has over 10 years experience consulting with healthcare providers to improve bottom-line performance. His experience includes clinical documentation programs, outpatient/APC revenue enhancement, working capital management, receivables acceleration, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management. David has worked with over 60 healthcare providers ranging from small rural facilities to large urban academic medical centers to multi-hospital health systems.

In addition to his extensive experience in the Healthcare industry, David has implemented strategic sourcing and spend management solutions for several Fortune 500 companies across multiple industries, resulting in savings ranging from 8% - 35% of base spending.

Prior to joining The Claro Group, David was a Senior Manager at BearingPoint leading the Central Region’s Healthcare Revenue Enhancement Practice. Prior to joining BearingPoint in 2002, David was a Manager at Arthur Andersen providing healthcare performance improvement to hospitals and health systems nationwide and strategic sourcing services across multiple industries.

David holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Indiana University and is currently in process of obtaining his Masters in Business Administration, with a major in Health Industry Management, from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
