David J. Scriven-Young is an associate in the Chicago office of McDermott Will & Emery LLP. He is a member of the Firm's Trial Department, where his practice focuses on environmental, energy, natural resources, products liability and mass tort law.
Dave is a past recipient of the Great Lakes Stewardship Award for Advocate of the Year from the Alliance for the Great Lakes. He is also a former law student extern to the Honorable Blanche M. Manning of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
Dave was the co-author of "Managing Environmental Claims in Bankruptcy", 2004 Supplement of Environmental Law, published by the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education. While in law school, Dave was a member of the DePaul Law Review.
Dave is a member of the American Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois Association of Environmental Professionals. He has been recently appointed as Chair of the American Bar Association/Young Lawyers Division Committee on Environment, Energy, and Resources and YLD Liaison to the ABA's Standing Committee on Environmental Law. He is the outgoing chair of the ABA/YLD Law Practice Management Committee.
Dave is admitted to practice in Illinois and before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of Illinois, Northern District of Indiana, and Eastern District of Wisconsin.
