Mr. Meachin was: Managing Director, Investment Banking Division, Merrill Lynch & Company in New York from 1981 to 1991; Vice President and General Manager of International Corporate Finance in New York and London, Salomon Brothers; Second Vice President in New York and Tokyo, Smith Barney and Co. From 1966 to 1969, he was employed as a Project Engineer for Humphreys and Glasgow Ltd., a London-based international chemical plant contracting company. Affiliations and interests: David Meachin has served on public SEC-reporting company boards for 15 years, during which time he has been a Member of the Executive Committee of the Board, Chairman of the Audit Committee, and Member of the Compensation and Governance Committees. Lyondell Chemical Company, the Fortune 100 Company of which he was most recently a board member, was sold in December 2007 in a going private transaction for $19 billion in cash. In January 2008, he was invited to join the newly created Advisory Board for a successful privately-held Hedge Fund/Investment Management Company, Laurus/Valens Capital Management, which is registered with the SEC and currently has $2 billion under management. The fund invests primarily in publicly-traded growth companies having market capitalizations below $500 million. |
