H. David Fiandt of Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA, was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association’s 88th International Convention held in Hong Kong, June 27-July 1, 2005.
Director Fiandt is an independent insurance agent and a Certified Insurance Counselor.
A member of the Fort Wayne Central Lions Club since 1976, Director Fiandt has held many offices within the association, including club president, cabinet secretary, lieutenant governor, district membership chair, district leadership chair, multiple district convention chair and district governor. Additionally he has served on the youth exchange committee, participated in four missions to Honduras and participated in an adult exchange in France. He is a trustee of the Indiana Lions Foundation and has sponsored 19 Lions.
In recognition of his service to the association he has received numerous awards, including three International President’s Awards and two International President’s Leadership Awards. He is also a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow and a W. P. Woods Fellow.
In addition to his Lions activities, Director Fiandt is active in numerous professional and community organizations.
