David Tyner focuses his practice on employment law, including civil and employee benefits litigation. He represents employers in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies. He has also practiced before the South Carolina Court of Appeals. His published cases include Coakley v. Horace Mann Ins. Co., 2004 WL 3127851 (S.C. App.).
David is admitted to practice in North Carolina, South Carolina and the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina. He is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Spartanburg County Bar Association.
David was an Associate Professor of Government at Wofford College and served as Chairman of the Department (1994-1999) before going to law school. During law school, David was a member of the Environmental Law Journal. He recently lectured on constitutional law for the South Carolina Judicial Department's Continuing Legal Education Program.
