David Langstaff was elected to the SRA board in February 2004. In October 2004 he became Chairman of a newly formed Long Range Planning Committee, focusing on strategy for the continued growth and diversification of the company. From 1984 to 2003 Langstaff served as a senior executive of Veridian Corporation and its predecessor companies and was President, CEO, and a member of the Board of Directors when the company was acquired by General Dynamics in 2003. During his tenure as CEO, the company’s annual sales increased from $100 million to $1.2 billion, and in 2002 he led Veridian’s successful initial public offering. In prior positions with First Boston International, Blyth Eastman Dillon International, and the Inverness Group, he focused on corporate finance, venture capital, and mergers and acquisitions.
Langstaff serves on the Board of Directors of the Information Technology Association of America (ITAA), is involved in a number of community and educational activities, and in 2000 was among the few industry executives invited by President Clinton to participate in the first White House Summit on Cyber Security. He holds a bachelor of arts degree from Harvard College and a master of business administration degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
