Dr. Scott has served as a director since February 1996. He recently retired as the Phillips-Schenck chair in American private enterprise, executive director of the Dr. Phillips Institute for the Study of American Business Activity, and professor of finance at the University of Central Florida where he had been a member of UCF's faculty since 1982. Dr. Scott was a member of the university's investment committee from 1992-2001.
Dr. Scott has served as head of the Department of Finance, Insurance, and Business Law at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He also was on the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia's economic forecasting panel and a member of Florida Trend's board of economists. He has been a member of the editorial board of the Bank Funds Management Report, published by Sheshunoff Information Services, Inc., a member of the board of trustees of FMA and a director on the board of the Economics Club of Orlando. His experience includes serving as president of the Financial Management Association, an international group of 9,000 members.
Dr. Scott received a Ph.D. from the University of Florida. He holds an M.B.A. from the University of Detroit, and the B.S.B.A. from the University of Akron. |
