David E. Lakowski is the Chief Financial Officer of GK Development, Inc. Prior to joining the company in June 2005, Lakowski was Chief Financial Officer for six years with Howe Barnes Investments, Inc., Chicago, where he participated in a strategic realignment resulting in significant financial improvements. Previously, Lakowski was vice president of compliance and operations for Deerfield-based, Vector Securities International, Inc., a $35 million privately held investment bank and institutional broker dealer focused on the healthcare and biotechnology industries. During his 11-year tenure there, Lakowski participated in the settlement of approximately 120 public and private securities offerings. Previous experience includes five years with public accounting firm Price Waterhouse Coopers, Chicago. Lakowski, a certified public accountant and licensed broker of general securities, is qualified as a supervising principal for general securities compliance, financial reporting and brokerage operations. He holds a master’s degree in taxation from DePaul University and a bachelor of business administration in accounting from Loyola University of Chicago. |
