Dave Stortz leads XL Capital Assurance s (XLCA) Specialized Risk group, which encompasses the securitization of future flows, life insurance, whole business and bank deposit insurance. Mr. Stortz joined the company when it was founded and managed XLCA s first transaction ever, for Banco Nacional de Mexico (Banamex). Before joining XLCA, Mr. Stortz spent three years at MBIA Insurance Corporation as a vice president in the financial institutions underwriting group, working on securitizations in the future flow credit card, subprime auto and mortgage, and leasing sectors, as well as on direct guarantees of bank debt. Previously, Mr. Stortz worked for six years at Thomson BankWatch, initially covering the United States, and later, Latin American and Asian institutions. Mr. Stortz received a B.S. in Finance from Arizona State University. |
