Mr. Mannon was named senior vice president and chief operating officer in December 2004, and was named president and chief operating officer in July 2007. Mr. Mannon has 24 years experience in the drilling industry. He began his career with SEDCO-FOREX, formerly SEDCO, in 1980 as a drilling engineer and joined Triton Engineering Services Company, a subsidiary of Noble Drilling, in 1988, where he was responsible for turnkey, project management and well engineering projects. Under Mr. Mannon's direction, Triton developed a systematic, multi-phase approach to operations realizing significant improvements in well operations by focusing on integrating drilling engineering, well planning, logistic coordination and task execution. He held a number of managerial positions culminating with his appointment as president and chief executive officer in 2003. Mr. Mannon earned a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Southern Methodist University and a master of business administration from the University of Houston. He is currently a member of the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC), Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the American Association of Drilling Engineers (AADE), and also serves on the Upstream Committee of the American Petroleum Institute (API). |
