David C. Kloeppel is executive vice president and chief financial officer of Gaylord Entertainment. Prior to joining the Company in September 2001 Kloeppel worked as a vice president in the Mergers and Acquisitions department of Deutsche Bank in New York where he was responsible for the department’s activities in the lodging leisure and real estate sectors.
While at Deutsche Bank Kloeppel executed more than $21 billion in transactions for the mergers and acquisitions team for clients such as Promus Hotel Corporation and FelCor Lodging Trust Inc. From 1991 to 1995 Kloeppel was with Bankers Trust Co. where his responsibilities included managing a team that administered more than $600 million in defined contribution assets.
Kloeppel graduated with honors from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University with a master's degree in business administration in May 1996; and was awarded the Distinguished Young Alumnus Award in 2003. He graduated from Vanderbilt University with a bachelor of science degree in May 1991 where he majored in economics.
In January 2005 Kloeppel was named to the Board of Director's of FelCor Lodging Trust Inc. Kloeppel also serves as president of the Board of Directors of the Nashville Chamber Orchestra and is on the board of Vanderbilt University's "Shape the Future" campaign. |
