David C. Dayton, serves as a Strategic Advisor for Falls River Group, LLC. David has spent more than 30 years in a variety of chief executive officer and general management roles at several worldwide, market-leading hardware and software high technology companies. Dayton has an extensive background in application software and services, software development tools, embedded systems and instrumentation. He brings a broad-based and worldwide perspective, combined with merger and experience on both buy and sell side. In his most recent assignment, David served as the President and CEO of Itronix Corporation, located in Spokane, Washington. Itronix is a private company focusing on wireless, rugged, laptop and handheld computing devices for the field service industry. David was recruited by the leveraged buyout owners to increase sales and profitability. This was accomplished ahead of schedule, including a doubling of revenue, to $150M, in two years. In addition, David negotiated and implemented an acquisition strategy of a UK based competitor. Prior to Itronix, David was the CEO of Toronto based Cantoc Business Systems, a venture capital funded supplier of warehouse management systems. Prior to Cantoc, Dayton served as president and CEO for Cadre Technologies Inc., a $45 million application development software firm. David started his career with Hewlett-Packard, where he spent 22 years, including ten years as the General Manager of one of the fastest growing divisions, focusing on software development tools, workstations, computer aided software and hardware development tools and embedded systems instrumentation.Dayton has an MBA from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University. Additionally, Dayton has served as Adjunct Marketing Professor at the University of Colorado and served as a Board Member for several public companies. |
