David A. Weiskopf is a senior managing economist in LECG's Washington, DC office and an adjunct professor at Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Weiskopf specializes in antitrust, marketing, and distribution and has extensive experience in a wide range of industries, such as consumer food products, coatings, insurance, food and drug retailing, pharmaceuticals, pulp and paper, medical and dental devices, apparel, cable television, automotive, and cosmetics. He has completed numerous analyses as part of merger reviews, including structural demand estimation using scanner data and merger simulation. He has also worked extensively on matters involving price fixing, monopolization, consumer protection, and complex damages. Dr. Weiskopf has presented theoretical and empirical papers and industry studies at academic conferences and at the Federal Trade Commission. He has co-authored studies that were submitted to the Federal Trade Commission and the German Cartel Office. He has published articles on merger simulation, demand estimation, and consumer complaint rates, among others. Dr. Weiskopf received his PhD in economics from Vanderbilt University. While attending Vanderbilt, he received a university fellowship and a scholarship grant from Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite (AASR). |
