Prior to co-founding Nakina Systems, Dave served as leader of the Nortel Networks Preside Optical R&D organization, with responsibility for a global team of over 600 personnel delivering network management solutions worldwide. As the leader of Preside Optical, Dave implemented an aggressive program management strategy that enabled Nortel Networks to grow its optical network management product line into a $180 million business. During his time at Nortel Networks, Dave was successful in building relationships with senior executives at numerous service providers, including SBC, MCI/WorldCom, and BCE. His vision for Nakina Systems is to leverage these relationships further to gain customer acceptance for Nakina Systems' next generation tools among large service providers. Nakina Systems has already capitalized on these relationships with its first sales to MCI in 2003. Dave holds a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Math from The University of Western Ontario, and a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree in Computer Science from The University of Western Ontario |
