Dave graduated from the University of Maryland at College Park in 1983 with his Bachelor of Science degree in physical distribution and logistics. He completed the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business Partnership Program in 1996 and received his Masters in Business Administration from Jacksonville University in 1999. With more than 20 years in the industry, Dave has a broad range of logistics operations and business development experience. He began his career with Customized Transportation, Inc, a CEVA predecessor company, in 1985, as an operations supervisor. He held various field operating positions before assuming the role of Director of Business Development in 1994. In 1998, he was promoted to General Manager, and the following year was appointed Vice President of rail logistics, responsible for developing and operating CEVA's then-newly formed rail logistics unit. In 2002, Dave was tapped as managing director for the Spain and Turkey business units, with headquarters in Barcelona and Istanbul. He moved into his current role in 2006, which supports automotive original equipment manufacturers, transplanted automotive manufacturers (non-U.S.) and railroad operations. He has responsibility for the servicing of several key accounts, including Honda, BMW, CSX, BNSF, Norfolk Southern and Union Pacific. Dave is a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), and has spoken before that organization as well as the Warehouse Education Research Council (WERC). |
