Dave Barrett joined Polaris Venture Partners as a General Partner in May 2000 after a 22 year operating career. He invests in technology, with particular focus on software, internet, ecommerce, security and financial services technology. Executive career highlights include service as chief operating officer of Calico Commerce, growing the startup to a publicly-held company with over $3B in market value as one of the top-performing IPOs of 1999. Prior, he served as senior vice president of worldwide operations for Pure Atria/Rational Software and spent twelve years with Lotus/IBM, where among a number of executive roles he served as vice president of global sales and services as well as general manager of federal operations. |
