Darryl Weatherspoon comes to Xoom with over 18 years of engineering management and development experience. He joined Xoom in August of 2007 as the Vice President of Engineering. Prior to Xoom, Mr. Weatherspoon served as the Senior Director of Engineering at NuCore Technology until they were acquired by Mediatech Corporation. At Nucore, Mr. Weatherspoon was instrumental in bringing to market the world's first hard disk based video recorder and the fastest available consumer digital cameras. In addition to his contributions to NuCore Technology, Mr. Weatherspoon also managed engineering teams at other startup companies and worked for Hewlett Packard Corporation for 11 years managing and developing high performance computer systems. Mr. Weatherspoon holds a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from Dartmouth College. |
