Darren Braccia joined Magellan as vice president of business development in July 2005 to lead the execution of Magellan’s acquisition strategy, designed to expand the company’s product offerings and better serve current and future customers. His charge is to identify and pursue companies, complementary technologies, and product lines where Magellan can add value by applying its existing technology, infrastructure, and market and applications expertise.Mr. Braccia came to Magellan from Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated, where he most recently served as associate director, business development. Prior to Vertex, from 1998 to 2000, he held multiple roles in new product development and planning, and sales and marketing at Biogen, Inc., a global leader in the development, manufacturing, and commercialization of novel therapies in oncology, neurology, and immunology. Mr. Braccia received his BA, cum laude, from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, and a MBA in finance and marketing from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. |
