Darrell's practice includes a broad range of commercial real estate matters, as well as a variety of finance, energy and general business issues.
In the area of commercial real estate, Darrell represents clients in the acquisition, disposition, financing, development and leasing of retail, office, industrial and other properties. He has also represented lenders in numerous matters, including synthetic leases, workouts and foreclosures.
Darrell's finance practice involves counsel on private placements of notes to institutional investors, and such asset-backed transactions as sales of commercial equipment lease portfolios and purchases and sales of residential mortgage portfolios. His work for energy clients includes drafting engineering, construction and procurement contracts for power generation plants, plus related facilities and agreements. Darrell also advises on energy outsourcing transactions and related master lease arrangements for installation of energy assets.
As part of his general business experience, Darrell works with acquisitions and divestitures of operating business units. He works with telecommunications companies on facility operation and maintenance agreements, and handles telecommunications equipment sales, facility leases and related matters.
