Appointed in May 2007 as Avenue A | Razorfish's first chief strategy officer, Darin creates a catalyst for leveraging thought leadership and driving innovation throughout the global agency. In his role, Darin leads the agency’s discipline areas, including analytics, strategy, technology, media, creative design, search, user experience and enterprise solutions. He is also responsible for the agency’s partnership program and corporate marketing efforts. A 10-year veteran of Avenue A | Razorfish, Darin has held many operational roles including president of the West Region, where managed operations in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and Los Angeles. He led the agency’s efforts in building integrated digital marketing capabilities and provided strategic and business development leadership for many of the agency’s clients, including Nike and Samsung. Darin began his career in 1990 with Leo Burnett Toronto (now part of Publicis Groupe), where he created the award-winning Leo Burnett Interactive Group (now ARC). From there, he joined CKS in 1998 and became Managing Director of the Portland office. He went on to successfully manage the business through four acquisitions: USWeb/CKS, marchFIRST, SBI.Razorfish, and Avenue A | Razorfish.
