Darilyn Jones joined Sequent Energy Management as vice president of risk control in August 2003. She is responsible for management and oversight of Sequent’s mid office functions including contract administration and compliance market risk control and operational risk control.
Prior to joining Sequent Jones was a senior manager with Accenture’s global energy strategy consulting practice where her primary focus was North America’s energy trading and risk management practices. She also assisted energy clients in developing an enterprise risk management framework across all commodities.
Jones has held executive positions in risk management at PG&E Energy Trading Koch Energy Trading and El Paso Energy. Her career which spans three decades in the energy industry also includes accounting auditing operations and technology experience with major oil companies such as Exxon Tenneco and Mobil Oil.
Jones earned her MBA and her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Houston’s Bauer School of Business.
She is an active member of Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) and speaks frequently to groups and non-profit organizations about risk management principles.
She resides in Houston with her husband Thomas and family. |
