Mr. Lieberman is responsible for overseeing all Music, Media, Art, Drama and Dance programs throughout the Meritas Family. He has over 30 years of domestic and international experience in the business and not for profit arenas. He has been the Director of Fine Arts for the Meritas North Broward Preparatory school located in Florida for 9 years.Daniel Lieberman graduated from the Hartt College of Music, at The University of Hartford with a degree in Music Education. He was the Arts Teacher of the Year for Broward County in 2000, Teacher of the Year in 1999 and was a finalist for Teacher of the Year in 1999 for Broward County. Mr. Lieberman has been involved in the Make-A-Wish Foundation for 25 years, having served as Vice-President of Make-A-Wish of America, where he founded the Hudson Valley chapter in 1983 and served as International President in 1998 . He has performed with many bands throughout Europe, playing at such venues as The Amsterdam Jazz Festival, the Belgian Cultural Center in Brussels, NATO Headquarters, the U.S. Embassy in London, and the Amsterdam Medical Center in Holland. He was a businessperson having owned multiple food stores, real estate and a music company for over 25 years before entering the music field. Each summer Mr. Lieberman takes over 75 students from the Meritas schools to Europe to perform their music for those less fortunate. This year the group will perform in London, Amsterdam, Geneva, Prague, and Vienna. Venues will include hospitals and schools on behalf of the International Make-A-Wish Foundation. He was featured on the Home and Garden cable channel show "The Good Life". This program aired in nine countries. |
